Welcome to Golflands Campus

Our vibrant Golflands Campus caters for students in Junior Years ( JY) which are the  New Entrant to Year 6 students  and Middle Years ( MY) which are students from year 7 to year 10.  We have state of the art facilities as well as specialist teachers in key learning areas who  provide high level engagement for a biblically based future focussed education.

The Biblical Worldview is woven throughout our structured learning programs, and we aim for successful transitions from Junior Years to Middle Years all on one site. We have open planned learning spaces and learners are well supported to work independently according to their year levels.

We want each of our students to be inspired, responsible, academically and practically skilled life-long learners, living their Christian values and exploring their God-given potential, to achieve personal excellence for God’s glory.

Middle Years Subject Options

Read this introductory section carefully before making any subject choices on the option sheet. There is important information relating to each option subject and the prerequisites needed to be enrolled in each of the options. Please note that some options run over a semester (half a year) and others are year courses.

The careers advisor provides advice and guidance for future career clusters. All selections of courses are subject to approval by the Middle Years lead.

Our advice to students is: “Don’t choose an option just because you want to be with your friend.”

Sports at Golflands

At Elim we aim to offer a wide variety of sports to cater for all our students and their different sporting interests. We encourage all students to get involved through participation and also provide opportunity for those who wish to compete at a higher level of competition.

Student Support

Student support at Elim is best described as “a net of care”. It includes a proactive, nurturing approach through assemblies, classroom programmes, and tutor times where we aim to support students to build Christian character, develop resilience and learn skills for coping and thriving.  Our net of care begins with each student being part of a Tutor/Pastoral Care class. All academic concerns and pastoral care concerns can be addressed at this level initially. At our Botany and Golflands campuses Tutor classes belong to a Whanau. We have Learning Support staff, Careers advisors and Counselling services who all work together forming our net of care for students.
