Elim Music

General Music Classes

General Music classes are available for all of the year zero to year six students. Our students learn the elements of Music through listening, playing, singing, and creating. This is free for all of our students.

Music Groups

We have a variety of free Music groups accessible at our campuses. These groups are formed depending on the skills, interests, and talents of the students.

We currently have groups such as choirs, bands, percussion groups, ukulele groups, etc. If the students are keen to join these Music groups then they are welcome to talk to their Music teachers. There are opportunities for these Music groups to perform for others. For example, prizegiving, ukulele festival, marimba festival, Kids for Kids Choir, etc.

Our senior choir, made up of 45 students from Botany Campus and Mt Albert Campus, performing at the Big Sing choral competition.

Itinerant Music Lessons

Students from Year three upwards may apply for weekly lessons in the following: violin, guitar, bass, keyboard, piano, and drums. Lessons at all campuses will be dependent on demand at each campus. This is not a free programme as we appoint Music tutors for these lessons. However, it is great especially for students who prefer to learn an instrument at school.
