Visual Arts NCEA Level 3

Year 13 art students specialises in the field of Painting.
Students are required to engage in work of high
conceptual level. Students require prior knowledge
of artistic ideas and issues as well as familiarity with
traditional and contemporary art styles and methods
of working. 

Students will present a set number of workbook pages
in their visual diary for each internal assessment and
a portfolio of original work in three A1 size boards for
the external assessment.
Students may use their portfolio of work as part of
their application to pursue Art and Design at tertiary
institutions.
